Location: Plane Tree Court Care Home
Direct Reports: Housekeeping Team

About Us
Plane Tree Court is renowned for providing high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and supportive environment. We are committed to enhancing the lives of our residents and supporting their families.
Role Overview:
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for the presentation, cleanliness, and overall guest-standard experience of Plane Tree Court. This role leads the housekeeping team and owns delivery of the home's Standard Operating Procedures covering presentation standards, cleaning and infection control, COSHH and chemical safety, linen and laundry management, and the furniture and equipment audit and inventory programme.
These procedures are non-negotiable. They apply every shift, every day, without exception, and the Hospitality Manager is responsible for ensuring the whole housekeeping team meets them consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
Presentation Standards
Set and maintain luxury, hotel-standard presentation across bedrooms, bathrooms, and all communal areas (entrance and reception, lounge, dining room, and corridors), including bed-making and turndown standards, towel and toiletry presentation, and seasonal and floral presentation.
Cleaning Standards & Infection Control
Oversee the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning schedule across all areas of the home. Ensure the colour-coded cloth system and correct cleaning procedures are followed for all equipment and surfaces, including beds and mattresses, pressure relief equipment, hoists and slings, wheelchairs and transfer aids, furniture, and clinical and specialist equipment, in line with CQC infection control requirements.
COSHH & Chemical Safety
Ensure all housekeeping staff are trained and signed off before using any chemical product. Maintain the COSHH folder and Safety Data Sheets, ensure correct storage, dilution, and labelling of all chemicals, and ensure appropriate PPE is used and spillages are managed and reported correctly.
Linen & Laundry Management
Maintain linen handling and infection-control standards, conduct the weekly linen audit, and ensure minimum par stock levels are maintained for bed linen and towels, reporting any shortfall to the Home Manager.
Furniture & Equipment Audit
Conduct the formal monthly furniture and equipment audit across all resident rooms and communal areas, rating condition on the home's 1 5 scale, photographing and escalating any item rated Poor or Replace Now, and submitting the audit summary to the Home Manager by the 25th of each month.
Equipment Inventory Management
Maintain the home's live furniture and equipment inventory as the single source of truth for all furnishings and equipment. Keep records current within 5 working days of any purchase, disposal, condition change, or approved replacement, and produce the monthly replacement report to inform CAPEX planning.
