About the Role
Opus People Solutions on behalf of Northampton Childrens Trust are seeking an experienced Independent Review & Conference Officer to join their team.
The role focuses on providing independent oversight and quality assurance of child protection planning, ensuring that the voice, safety and best interests of children remain at the heart of decision-making.
As an Independent Review & Conference Officer, you will chair Child Protection Conferences, provide constructive challenge to practice where required, and monitor the effectiveness of plans to safeguard children. You will be responsible for identifying areas of poor practice, reporting concerns to senior managers, and working collaboratively to drive improvements and achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Location: Northampton, Kettering & Daventry (for face-to-face meetings)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days per week attending meetings in person across Northampton, Kettering and Daventry
Rate: 40 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: 37 hours per week

About You
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. As this role is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check, applicants are required to declare any cautions and convictions that are not protected under current filtering rules.
