SALARY: £26,278 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: West Midlands with travel across the Black Country (predominantly Birmingham and Sandwell)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
JOB OVERVIEW
Are you dynamic, personable, creative and empathetic with experience supporting women and people with multiple or complex needs?
As the Criminal Justice Support Worker you will deliver one-to-one support, therapeutic group work, outreach, community asset building and psychosocial interventions within a women's justice programme.
Working as the Criminal Justice Support Worker you will support women involved in the criminal justice system, including women who may be homeless or at risk of homelessness, experiencing mental health challenges, affected by drugs or alcohol, or facing other barriers. The role will involve needs-led, strength-based and trauma-informed support to help women reduce the risk of re-offending, engage with services and move towards safer, more independent lives.
The Criminal Justice Support Worker will be based between offices in Birmingham and Sandwell, with travel across the region to support partner agencies and community-based delivery. You may also provide in-reach support to women in custody, so prison clearance may be required.
