We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Care Home Manager to lead a newly opened, high-quality care home. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care, building high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence. You will have full responsibility for the performance, culture, compliance, and commercial success of the home, ensuring residents receive outstanding care in a safe, welcoming, and professionally managed environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

Leadership & Culture

Lead by example, promoting professionalism, compassion, and accountability.
Build, develop, and motivate a committed, values-driven team.
Create a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Establish clear standards, expectations, and operational processes across the home.

Quality & Compliance

Take full responsibility for CQC compliance and inspection readiness.
Ensure the service remains safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.
Implement robust governance, auditing, and quality assurance processes.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain outstanding care standards.

People Management

Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, including nursing staff.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels, rota management, and skill mix.
Manage performance effectively, supporting development while addressing issues promptly.
Identify and nurture future leaders within the service.

Commercial & Operational Management

Drive occupancy growth and support long-term sustainability.
Manage budgets, costs, and overall financial performance.
Ensure efficient day-to-day operations while maintaining exceptional care standards.
Balance commercial objectives with positive resident outcomes.

Clinical Oversight

Support and oversee high standards of clinical care and governance.
Provide leadership to nursing and care teams.
Ensure safe medication management and effective care delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or managing a large care service.
Demonstrable track record of improving and maintaining occupancy.
Experience leading services through CQC inspections with positive outcomes.
Experience managing nurses and clinical teams.
Strong leadership experience managing large staff teams.
Ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Strong operational, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
Stable employment history demonstrating commitment and progression.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience commissioning or opening a new care home.
Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN).
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
