Requirements
Valid NMC registration number
At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports

Advanced Practitioners are pivotal in establishing consistently excellent social work practice in our teams. You will be a registered social worker with significant experience of working with children and families in a statutory social work setting and experience of supporting others in a social work or social care role, which may include practice education of students or ASYE social workers.
You will be dynamic and driven to achieve strong outcomes for our children, skilled in providing support and challenge to colleagues and families and creating change.
You must be skilled and experienced in working with children in care or have suitable transferable skills.
You need to have strong skills around reunification and supporting children to return home safely, pathway planning, adoption and permanency planning for children and young people to support them to leave our care in suitable and safe ways. You will need to support less experienced colleagues with chairing stability meetings, permanency planning meetings and providing practice guidance and support alongside the team manager, whilst managing a caseload so you will also need to be highly organised.
