An exciting opportunity has arisen for a patient-focused and clinically driven Optometrist to join a successful and well-established optical practice in the heart of Redruth, Cornwall.

This modern practice benefits from six testing rooms designed to support both short and long-form examinations, allowing clinicians the flexibility to deliver outstanding patient care. With a supportive team of 16 dedicated colleagues and access to enhanced clinical services, this role offers an excellent opportunity for an Optometrist looking to develop their career within a progressive and patient-centred environment.

Role Purpose

As an Optometrist, you will provide exceptional eye care services while delivering a personalised experience tailored to each patient's individual needs. You will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, supporting enhanced services, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to the highest clinical standards.
  • Deliver tailored recommendations based on patients' visual requirements and lifestyle needs.
  • Detect, manage, and appropriately refer ocular conditions where necessary.
  • Participate in enhanced clinical services, including Glaucoma and Post-Cataract clinics.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and build long-term patient relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to ensure a seamless patient journey.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all professional and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical services and best practice within the practice.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.

Qualifications and Experience Essential

  • GOC-registered Optometrist.
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and professional judgement.
