Are you a night owl looking for a meaningful role in Moray?

Can you provide the calm, settled environment children need to feel safe and secure throughout the night?

If you have the heart and the hustle, we want to hear from you today!

Outstanding Child Support Worker roles are now available in Elgin, paying up to £22 per hour. You'll be supporting local authority services and leading charities within residential settings, working with children who have a range of needs, including neurodiversity and emotional behavioural difficulties. Take total control of your work-life balance-choose your own schedule and work as much or as little as you like. This is your chance to make a tangible impact on the lives of young people in the Highlands, ensuring they have the safe, fulfilled childhood they deserve.

What can Randstad offer a child support worker?

  • Competitive rates that reflect your value
  • Keep your skills sharp by working across a variety of diverse services
  • A truly flexible working schedule tailored to you
  • Opportunity for consistent, long-term placements
  • Unlimited "Refer a Friend" bonuses
  • Immediate starts available for the right candidates
  • Extensive training in industry-standard courses plus online learning support
  • Expert guidance with your SSSC registration
  • Exclusive employee discount app
  • Dedicated support from a specialist Randstad consultant

A successful child support worker will be responsible for:

  • Working effectively as part of a high-performing team of support workers
  • Providing high-quality care and stability to vulnerable young people
  • Supporting service users navigating early trauma and behavioural challenges
  • Encouraging engagement with the local Elgin community and educational settings
  • Maintaining clear, professional boundaries at all times
  • Upholding a professional manner and working strictly to National Care Standards
  • Working a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods

To be successful in your application, you will:

  • Have proven experience in a residential setting with young people
  • Bring a flexible, "can-do" attitude to every shift
  • Possess strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • Be registered (or willing to register) under the PVG scheme
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Have obtained, or be working towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)

If this sounds like the perfect move for you, don't delay!

Apply now and one of our team will be in touch for an informal chat to progress your application. Alternatively, for a confidential discussion about the Moray market, give Rebecca Prentice a call on

Not the role for you? We are always hunting for talented residential support workers across Scotland. Check out our website!
