An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to join a children's residential care provider, offering safe, nurturing and supportive homes for young people
As a Registered Manager, you will lead the home s daily operations, maintain high standards of care and safeguarding, and support a team delivering consistent, child-centred support.
This full-time permanent role based in Oxfordshire offers a salary of £64,000 and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and developing a team to deliver consistent, therapeutic care.
- Ensuring compliance with children's home regulations, quality standards and Ofsted requirements.
- Overseeing admissions, placement matching, care plans, risk assessments and transitions.
- Promoting young people's welfare and maintaining effective relationships with families and external professionals.
- Managing staff recruitment, induction, supervision, training and performance.
- Monitoring incidents, safeguarding, staffing standards and care quality through audits and reflective practice.
- Managing budgets, resources and on-call responsibilities to ensure the effective running of the home.
- Perform other duties as required.
What we are looking for:
- Approx 2 years' experience managing an Ofsted-regulated children's home.
- Must have led at least one Ofsted-inspected home as Registered Manager, achieving a Good or Outstanding rating.
- Background in supporting young people with complex emotional, behavioural or mental health needs.
- A relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Children's Residential Care.
- The ability to lead, develop and manage a team, maintaining clear expectations and accountability.
- Experience working within solo placements, small residential homes or supporting young people with learning disabilities would be advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check.
