Our dispersed safe accommodation and floating support services in Herefordshire provide an excellent opportunity for you to become a domestic abuse support worker, where you will be empowered and encouraged to support survivors to reach their full potential and work with a dynamic team of specialist domestic abuse support workers. Your unique skills and attributes will be used to support survivors on a day to day basis, allowing them to gain the tools to live a life free from abuse.

This post is restricted to female applicants only under the provisions of the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1. The role is based within a female-only domestic abuse refuge, where the provision of services requires a female worker to ensure the privacy, dignity, and safety of residents.
Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (if applicable), satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
This role may require specific qualifications, skills, knowledge, and behaviours to meet the Competence and Conduct Standard for Social Housing. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.

Our services include Women and Children s Refuges, LGBTQ+ Safe Space, a South Asian Women s Refuge and dispersed accommodation to support those that are unable to access traditional Refuges such as male survivors, those with pets and those facing multiple and complex disadvantage. Our dispersed model of safe accommodation ensures equal access for all.
