Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Practitioner to join a dynamic Mental Health Team in Barnet on a locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Social Worker looking to take on a leadership role while remaining involved in front-line practice.
As Lead Practitioner, you will provide professional leadership, guidance and support to Social Workers within the team, helping to drive high standards of practice and positive outcomes for adults experiencing mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practice leadership and mentoring to Social Workers and less experienced staff.
Support the Team Manager with complex case management and service delivery.
Manage a small caseload of highly complex mental health cases.
Lead on safeguarding enquiries and risk management planning.
Promote strengths-based practice and person-centred assessments.
Ensure compliance with the Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
Undertake supervision, coaching and quality assurance activity where required.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and best practice development.
Work collaboratively with health professionals, community mental health services and partner agencies.
Requirements
Social Work England registration.
Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Mental Health Services.
Previous experience within a Senior Practitioner, Advanced Practitioner or Lead Practitioner role.
Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation.
Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting other practitioners.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred.
