Male Support Worker

Salary: £12.75 £14.25 per hour (DOE)

Hours:
6 -8 hours per week initially, 12:00pm to 18:00/20:00pm. To commence initially on Saturdays, but this may increase over time to incorporate more hours during school holidays, etc.
NSS PLUS LTD (NeuroSupport Services) is a specialist provider dedicated to helping individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) regain independence and improve their quality of life. We are currently seeking professional Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Bloxham.
The Role
Our client is a 14-year-old male, and his parents are looking for someone who can enhance his life experiences, and build on his self-esteem and confidence.
Being able to access different activities of his choice and establish a positive working relationship with his buddy who could also support him with fulfilling his therapeutic programmes.
The family are looking at sourcing a buddy for their son, who could also work closely with the members of the multidisciplinary team surrounding him to enable him to maximise his full potential, but most importantly to enable him to have access to extra curriculum activities of his choice.
Mandatory Requirements
To be considered, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:
UK Experience: At least 6 months of UK-based support worker experience (within the last 3 years).
Licence: A full, clean UK Driving Licence and access to a car for work use.
Communication: Clear, fluent English is essential.
Status: Applicants must be willing to work on a self-employed basis.
CV: Your CV must clearly highlight your relevant experience and qualifications.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in Brain Injury (ABI/TBI), stroke,dementia or aphasia is highly advantageous.
Background in Psychology (Graduates are encouraged to apply) or as a Therapy Assistant, Rehabilitation Support Worker,Healthcare Assistants or Care Worker
Ability to work on your own initiative while being a key part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
Strong organizational skills and basic IT literacy (Word/Excel).
