Youth Justice Case Officer - Rochdale
OL16 1XL - hybrid working based on service needs
Rate negotiable (starting at £21.00 per hour)
Contract
We are seeking to engage experienced Youth Justice Case Managers through agency provision to support delivery within our Youth Justice Service.
You will work directly with children, young people, and their families, delivering high-quality interventions across the full Youth Justice pathway, including:
Prevention and Early Intervention
Diversion from the Criminal Justice System
Court Orders and Statutory Supervision
Custody and Resettlement Planning
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Asset plus and prevention/ diversion assessments
Develop and deliver tailored intervention plans to reduce offending and safeguard young people and victims.
Manage children with complex needs caseloads in line with legislation and Youth Justice standards
Prepare high-quality reports for court, panels, and multi-agency forums
Work collaboratively with partner agencies (e.g. social care, education, police, health)
Engage effectively with families to support positive outcomes
Contribute to safeguarding planning and risk management processes Essential Requirements
Proven experience working within a Youth Justice Service or similar setting
Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed practice, and safeguarding
Experience managing cases across prevention, diversion, and statutory court/custody interventions
Ability to complete assessments such as AssetPlus (or equivalent frameworks) Excellent report writing and communication skills
Enhanced DBS clearance
