Registered Home Manager
Location: Herne Bay, Kent
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead a residential care home in Herne Bay, Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager looking to take the next step into a Registered Manager position, or an established Home Manager looking for a new challenge.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, strong regulatory compliance and a positive environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home.
- Provide strong leadership to the care and support team.
- Ensure high standards of person-centred elderly care are consistently delivered.
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, legislation and company policies.
- Lead on safeguarding, care planning, risk management and quality assurance.
- Monitor audits, inspections and action plans, driving continuous improvement.
- Recruit, supervise, motivate and develop staff.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals.
- Manage complaints, incidents and concerns effectively.
- Support occupancy, budgets and the overall performance of the home.
- Promote dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing for all residents.
About You
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Home Manager within a nursing or residential care setting.
- Elderly care experience is essential.
- Experience managing a care or nursing home is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance.
- Confident leading and developing care teams.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Ideally holds, or is working towards, a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management.
