As part of their continued commitment to excellent care standards, they're looking to appoint an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading the home.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the daily operation of the home, deputising fully in their absence and ensuring the home consistently meets CQC standards and best practice.
Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management and operational running of the home.
Lead, supervise and support care staff, including conducting supervisions, performance reviews and competency checks.
Oversee the development, implementation and review of person-centred care plans and risk assessments, particularly for residents living with dementia.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are reported and managed in line with policy and legislation.
Monitor medication administration and ensure full compliance with medication policies and procedures.
Conduct audits, maintain accurate records, and support ongoing compliance with CQC regulations.
Manage incidents, complaints and investigations professionally, ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation.
Support recruitment, induction, and training of new staff members.
Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
Deputise for the Registered Manager during periods of absence, including on-call responsibilities.
Mentor and develop team members, promoting a positive, person-centred culture throughout the home.
WHAT OUR CLIENT LOOKING FOR
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential, candidates working towards, or willing to work towards, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care will be strongly considered.
Proven experience within a residential and/or dementia care setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding legislation, and person-centred care practice.
Experience supporting individuals living with dementia and complex care needs.
Confident leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a calm, professional approach under pressure.
Flexibility to support on-call duties and deputise for the Registered Manager as required.
