Recovery Coordinator Spider is advertising on behalf of Julian Support, who are looking for a Recovery Coordinators to join their ARCH (Accessing Resource from Crisis to Home) team on a full-time basis.

There are two opportunities available: one permanent Recovery Coordinator position covering East Norfolk/Waveney, and one Peripatetic Recovery Coordinator position on a fixed-term contract until 31st July 2027, covering services across Norfolk and based in Norwich.

About the role:

As an ARCH Recovery Coordinator, you will provide person-centred support to people experiencing mental health difficulties, helping them build independence, develop confidence and work towards meaningful personal goals. Using a strengths-based and recovery-focused approach, you will work alongside individuals to identify their needs, build on their strengths and connect them with appropriate services, resources and opportunities.

The role involves working collaboratively with clients, families, carers, health and social care professionals, housing providers and community organisations to support positive outcomes. You will also provide practical assistance with areas such as benefits, housing, budgeting and accessing community services, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring all support is delivered safely and professionally.

For the Peripatetic Recovery Coordinator role, you will work flexibly across services throughout Norfolk, providing support and cover where required. Working hours for this role will be 37 hours per week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with clients to identify their needs, develop support plans and promote independence, recovery and personal goals
  • Provide practical, person-centred support with benefits, housing, budgeting, utilities and accessing community resources
  • Build effective relationships with clients, families, carers and health, social care, housing and community professionals
  • Advocate for and empower clients to make informed choices, take responsibility and access appropriate support and resources
  • Maintain accurate support plans, risk assessments, records and reports, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety and data protection requirements
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies, contributing to positive outcomes, service evaluation, team meetings, training and service cover where required

About you:

As a Recovery Coordinator, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with people with complex needs. You will be compassionate, resilient and committed to empowering clients to achieve greater independence and work towards their personal goals.

You will have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience supporting people with serious mental health difficulties or within outreach, supported housing or community settings would be advantageous, alongside knowledge of recovery and strengths-based approaches. Relevant qualifications such as Dip SW, Dip HE, BSc/MSc Occupational Therapy or NVQ Level 3 would be desirable but not essential. A willingness to travel and access to a vehicle for business use are essential.
