Tempest Resourcing is recruiting 14 experienced Social Workers to join Tameside's Neighbourhood Safeguarding Service.
This role is suited to experienced practitioners with a strong interest in court work and child protection planning. You'll work with children and families across public and private law proceedings, helping to manage risk and achieve positive, long-term outcomes.
Working within Tameside's restorative and strengths-based Heart of Support practice model, you'll build positive relationships with children and families while keeping their needs at the centre of every decision.
Key Responsbilities:
Managing a varied safeguarding caseload
Completing assessments, statutory visits and reviews
Developing and progressing child protection plans
Undertaking direct work with children and families
Preparing court reports and contributing to public and private law proceedings
Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and partner agencies
Maintaining accurate case records and meeting statutory timescales
About You:
To be considered, you must have:
A recognised Social Work qualification
Current Social Work England registration
At least two years' post-qualifying experience within Children's Services
Experience of court proceedings and child protection planning
Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills
A restorative, relational and strengths-based approach
A full driving licence
You'll be supported by an experienced Team Manager and a permanent senior leadership team committed to listening to and supporting Social Workers.
Flexible working may be available in line with service needs. Interviews will be held in person at Tameside One.
