About the Role

As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing a patch of properties and delivering a professional, responsive and resident-focused housing management service.

  • Working closely with the Income Recovery team to address rent arrears and support customers in maintaining their tenancies.
  • Responding to and resolving customer enquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Managing cases involving Anti-Social Behaviour and other tenancy-related issues.
  • Working with colleagues to ensure communities and properties are well maintained.
  • Supporting resident engagement and ensuring customers have opportunities to influence services.
  • Building effective partnerships with local authorities and external agencies.
  • Acting as a specialist lead in an area of housing management, providing guidance and support to colleagues.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and achieving positive outcomes for customers.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in housing management.
  • Knowledge of landlord and tenant law and housing-related legislation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage a varied workload and make sound decisions independently.
  • Experience of managing housing processes and systems.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality services and putting customers first.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.

What We Offer

In return for your dedication and expertise, we offer an excellent benefits package including:

  • 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), increasing with service
  • Annual performance-related salary bonus
  • Monthly attendance bonus
  • Blue Light Card membership
  • On-site gym access
  • Competitive pension scheme
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
