Service Quality Manager

Field-Based Covering Weymouth, Bournemouth & Milford-on-Sea

55,000

Are you an experienced Quality, Compliance or Operational Manager within adult social care? Do you enjoy working directly with services to drive real, lasting improvements in care quality?

We are seeking a proactive and passionate Service Quality Manager to join our growing Quality Team. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with care home managers and operational teams to maintain exceptional standards of care, ensure regulatory compliance, and support services to achieve continuous improvement.

This is not a desk-based quality position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being visible within services, reviewing practice first-hand, identifying areas for improvement, and working alongside teams to implement positive change.

The Role

As Service Quality Manager, you will support residential, nursing, homecare and specialist services to deliver outstanding care and achieve the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality, compliance and governance audits across services.
  • Monitor compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Review care documentation, governance systems and quality processes.
  • Support managers to develop and implement effective improvement plans.
  • Monitor actions and hold services accountable for progress.
  • Support homes through CQC inspections and regulatory visits.
  • Identify trends, risks and areas of concern across services.
  • Investigate incidents, complaints and compliance issues.
  • Deliver training, coaching and support to managers and staff.
  • Carry out supervisions as part of the role.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and resident-centred care.

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced quality professional who can build positive relationships while also providing effective challenge when required.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in a Quality, Compliance, Auditing or Senior Operational role within adult social care.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the adult social care regulatory framework.
  • Experience auditing services and managing quality improvement plans.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across several services.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Desirable

  • Experience across residential care, nursing care, homecare or specialist services.

What's on Offer?

  • Competitive salary
  • Mileage allowance
  • Ongoing professional development and training
  • Supportive and experienced leadership team
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact on care quality and resident outcomes
  • Long-term career development opportunities

Please Note

This is a field-based role involving regular travel and significant time spent working directly within services. It is not a predominantly home-based or administrative position.

If you are passionate about improving care standards, supporting services to achieve excellence, and making a real difference to people's lives, we would love to hear from you.
