The Role

Monitor incidents, risk assessments, medication management, and health and safety compliance.

Maintain accurate records, reports, audits, and statutory documentation.

Manage occupancy, referrals, admissions, and placement matching.

Promote continuous quality improvement across the service.

Participate in the management on-call rota.

Essential Requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

At least 2 years' management experience within a Children's Residential Home.

Experience as a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to progress.

Excellent knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.

Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and children's legislation.

Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and/or Learning Disabilities (LD).

Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare, Children & Young People, or equivalent.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Full UK Driving Licence.

They currently have four young people in place. You would be walking into a fully staffed home with a Deputy Manager and Senior Team Leader (aspiring to step up), who both work 40-50% of their hours as off shift or admin time.   • Ensure the home delivers high-quality care and support to children and young people.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company policies.
  • Recruit, develop and support a high-performing staff team.
  • Promote positive outcomes and individualised care plans for children and young people.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with external professionals, families and stakeholders.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are embedded throughout the service.
  • Monitor the home's performance and drive continuous improvement.
