Qualified Nurse Independent School Heol-Y-Parc, Pentyrch Wales CF15
We are looking for a qualified nurse to join our team on the outskirts of Cardiff.
You be working at our school which provides Education and therapy with in-house specialist teams provide Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Positive Behaviour Support, offering coordinated, consistent provision across the school day. We are equipped for complex needs and deliver personalised programmes, whether for profound and multiple learning difficulties or social, emotional and mental health needs, in full compliance with the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act. Our school has up to 40 pupils aged 3-19
As part of our nursing team, you'll be putting together health care plans, Protocols, risk assessments and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team from the health authority and other outside agencies who support that individuals. You'll be administering medications, carrying out other nursing procedures and providing psychological support.
About The Role:
Salary: £18.85 - £23.85 per hour - £19604 - £24804
Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday & Friday (working hours 08:30 - 16:00), and a Tuesday (working hours 0830 - 12:30) Term time 52 weeks pa.
Working with children and young people with complex health needs in an all-purpose-built building, supporting them in all aspects of personal care, independent living, and delivering a high-quality personalised service.
Requirements of Nurse
NMC pin (essential)
Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
The ability to administer medication including controlled drugs and PR medication.
The ability to work as a team member and lead.
Able to communicate both written and verbally.
Experience of supervising others
Flexible
Health and Safety knowledge
Qualified Registered Nurse
A kind and compassionate nature
Approved person First Aid Certificate
Experience in non-hospital setting
Good motivational skills
Management experience
Interest in staff training and development
