Children s Residential Support Worker
Looking for a children s residential role where you can build proper relationships with young people, work a consistent rota and move into a permanent position?
We are recruiting for a Children s Residential Support Worker to join a warm and child-focused residential home in Godalming.
You will be supporting young people aged 11 to 17 in a structured children s home environment. The role is about consistency, patience and helping young people feel safe, listened to and supported.
This is a temp-to-perm role, with a genuine route into a permanent position once both sides are happy the fit is right.
The role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support young people with their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education, activities and independence skills.
You will work as part of a team to provide a safe, stable and homely environment. Some days will be challenging, but this is a role where the right person can make a real difference.
Main duties
What we re looking for
This role could suit someone with experience in care, support work, youth work, mental health, SEN, education, supported living or children s services.
You do not need to have children s residential experience, but you do need to be calm, reliable and committed to safeguarding young people.
