Connect2socialwork is currently recruiting for 1-2 Commissioning Reviews Social Workers to join a busy Adults Commissioning team in London, this is a great opportunity for experienced practitioners looking to step into a role with oversight, impact, and supervisory responsibility.
Role Overview
- Position: Commissioning Reviews Social Worker
- Rate: 32 per hour
- Start: ASAP
- Working Pattern: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake person-centred reviews across commissioned services, ensuring needs are met and services remain high quality and cost effective
- Ensure compliance with Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
- Monitor placements, identifying where changes or alternative provisions are required
- Work closely with commissioning, brokerage, and provider teams to improve outcomes
- Support market development and service improvement initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide supervision to 2 NQ Reviewing Officers
- Contribute to efficiency savings and budget management
- Analyse service delivery and contribute to commissioning plans and recommendations
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a Commissioning Reviews Team
- Strong understanding of:
- Care Act
- Mental Capacity Act
- Safeguarding
- Experience of strengths-based, person-centred practice
- Ability to manage complex reviews, provider relationships, and cost negotiations
- Previous supervisory experience is essential
