Optometrist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Optometrist for a part-time maternity cover role in Alton, working Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and alternate Saturdays. You will join a friendly and professional team, delivering exceptional eye care using modern clinical technology while providing patients with a personalised and informative experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive sight tests and full eye examinations
Conduct visual field and retinal imaging assessments
Provide expert advice on eye health, treatments, and preventative care
Support the Branch Manager in monitoring and improving branch performance
Ensure all clinical equipment is maintained and functioning at the highest standard
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with GOC standards
Team Development:
Work collaboratively with a welcoming optical team
Support a positive, inclusive, and patient-first practice culture
Share best practices and clinical knowledge with colleagues
Participate in training and professional development opportunities
About You:
Fully qualified and GOC registered Optometrist
Patient-focused with a commitment to clinical excellence
Confident communicator, able to build trust with patients and colleagues
Proactive team player who values quality and patient satisfaction
