Education Support Worker L35

Location: Liverpool
Pay: £90 £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities, with potential to become permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Sometimes, the biggest difference you can make in a child's education is simply being the person who believes in them.

TeacherActive are looking for passionate, caring and reliable Education Support Workers to work across our growing network of schools throughout Liverpool, The Wirral and Merseyside.

Whether you have experience working in education, supporting children with additional needs, working in care or youth services, or you're looking to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.

We work closely with Mainstream, SEND and Alternative Provision settings across Merseyside, providing opportunities ranging from day-to-day cover to long-term placements and potential permanent positions.

What could working as an Education Support Worker look like for you?

It might mean supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them build confidence, develop independence and engage positively with learning.

It could mean working alongside teachers and support staff to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.

Or it could mean supporting children with additional learning, social, emotional or behavioural needs, helping them overcome challenges and celebrate their achievements.

The important thing is that we'll listen to what you're looking for and try to find work that genuinely suits you.

We're looking for Education Support Workers who:
  • Have experience working with children or young people in education, care, youth work or a similar setting

  • Are passionate about supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND and SEMH

  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

  • Have a calm, patient and understanding approach

  • Can support pupils with their learning, emotional wellbeing and personal development

  • Are confident supporting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement in the classroom

  • Are adaptable, reliable and professional

  • Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Experience working with SEND, autism, ADHD, SEMH or challenging behaviour would be beneficial, but we also welcome applicants with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people.

Why TeacherActive?

At TeacherActive, we believe education recruitment should be about much more than simply filling a vacancy.

We take the time to get to know the people we work with understanding your experience, strengths, preferences and what you're looking for from your next role.

Our team works closely with schools and education settings across the region, building strong relationships that help us match the right support staff with the right environments.

Whether you're looking for occasional supply, regular work, a long-term placement or your next permanent opportunity, our aim is simple: to find work that genuinely works for you.

What we offer
  • Competitive daily rates of £90 £110, depending on experience

  • Flexible working that fits around your availability

  • Day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities

  • Opportunities across Mainstream, SEND and Alternative Provision schools throughout Liverpool, The Wirral and Merseyside

  • Potential routes into permanent employment

  • Holiday pay paid separately

  • A straightforward registration process

  • Friendly, ongoing support from the TeacherActive Team

In return, you can expect to receive:
  • A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to support you through our straightforward onboarding process

  • CPD courses and certificates through our My-Progression channel

  • Market-leading rates of pay

  • TeacherActive Referral Scheme receive up to £100 when you refer a friend (Terms and Conditions apply)

Our staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you're paying the correct level of Tax and National Insurance, with no unnecessary administration charges deducted from your hard-earned pay.

Whether you're looking for one or two days a week, regular support work or your next long-term position in education, we'd love to have a conversation.

If you're a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated individual who wants to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people, click 'APPLY NOW' and I will be in touch to discuss this fantastic opportunity.
