Can you make a real difference in the lives of others?

At Macklin Care Homes, you'll join an award-winning team where your contributions are valued, with opportunities for career development and a friendly, rewarding work environment. If you are a compassionate person who cares with heart, we would love to hear from you.

Our residents are at the heart of our homes; we are inspired not only by their stories and experiences of years gone by but also by knowing we are making a real difference in their lives.

Milesian Manor Care Home (Magherafelt) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Lead to join our team on a full-time basis. The Clinical Lead will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the highest standards of nursing care within the Home. Working closely with the Nurse Manager, the Clinical Lead will provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing and care teams, ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred and compassionate care.

This is a 37-hour per week role, comprising approximately 22 hours providing hands-on nursing care and 15 hours dedicated to clinical leadership, administration and management support.

The role will provide an important link between the nursing and care teams and the Nurse Manager, supporting the effective delivery of care and promoting a positive culture of continuous improvement.

Please note that flexibility will be required. Where the needs of the Home and residents require additional nursing support, the Clinical Lead may be required to prioritise clinical duties and forgo some or all of their allocated office hours. When the Nurse Manager is absent from the Home, the Clinical Lead will provide additional management support and will have full office hours to assist with the effective management of the Home.

The role will normally comprise:
  • 22 hours per week - Nursing/clinical duties, Monday to Sunday.
  • 15 hours per week - Clinical leadership, administration and management support, Monday to Sunday.
The allocation of hours may vary according to the operational and clinical needs of the Home. The Clinical Lead may be required to undertake additional nursing duties and forgo allocated office/administrative time where resident care and staffing requirements necessitate this.
