Are you passionate about supporting people to live independent, fulfilling lives?
We're looking for a caring and motivated Care Support Worker to join our team, supporting deaf individuals in their own homes and local communities. This is a rewarding role where you'll build meaningful relationships, promote independence, and help people achieve the things that matter most to them.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting people with daily living, personal care and wellbeing
- Using British Sign Language (BSL) to communicate effectively
- Encouraging independence, choice and confidence
- Supporting people to access activities, appointments and community activities
- Working closely with families, colleagues and other professionals
What You'll Need
Essential
- Full UK manual driving licence
- BSL skills through training, qualifications, or lived experience
- A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins
Desirable
- Previous experience in a care or support setting
- Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
