We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust to join the NUH Pharmacy Team in Nottingham City Hospital. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive, professional and high-quality technical support across hospital wards and departments on a rotational basis, managing dispensary, laboratory and distribution activities to support the delivery of safe and effective pharmaceutical services. You will be responsible for dispensing and labelling pharmaceuticals, accuracy checking dispensed items in line with departmental and Trust procedures and supporting the wider Pharmacy Team in delivering excellent customer care. You will also support the coordination of pharmacy services in designated areas and deputise for Team Leaders when required, while promoting a positive and professional image of NUH Pharmacy.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for working across both Nottingham City Hospital and Queens Medical Centre, contributing to a flexible seven-day rota that includes weekends, late duties and bank holidays.
