We are partnering with a large and complex healthcare organisation to appoint an exceptional Finance Director. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity with responsibility for commercial finance across a substantial operational division.
You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, helping operational leaders make better decisions, improve financial performance and deliver a significant transformation agenda. This opportunity will suit a commercially minded healthcare finance leader who thrives on influence, challenge and change.
The Opportunity
- Lead a high-performing finance team and develop a genuine finance business partnering culture.
- Partner with senior operational leaders, providing insight and constructive challenge to improve commercial and financial performance.
- Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and delivery of the agreed financial plan.
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, cost optimisation and operational efficiency programmes.
- Provide senior financial oversight for business cases, investment decisions, tenders and strategic initiatives.
- Lead financial and operational transformation, maintaining a quantified improvement pipeline and tracking benefits realisation.
- Identify emerging commercial and financial risks early, ensuring clear corrective actions are implemented.
- Strengthen management information and commercial reporting to enable faster, better decision-making.
About You
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong record of finance leadership in a complex, commercially focused environment.
- Significant experience in commercial finance, finance business partnering or Finance Director-level roles.
- Experience leading and developing finance managers or Heads of Finance.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and financial modelling expertise.
- A track record of holding operational teams to account for financial performance.
- Experience of bids, tenders, contract procurement or complex commercial arrangements.
- Proven delivery of transformation, cost efficiency and margin improvement programmes.
- The credibility to influence senior operational and executive stakeholders.
- The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical commercial insight.
