The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced and professionally driven Sonographer to join their established and highly regarded baby scanning clinic in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a patient-focused Sonographer to play a key role in delivering exceptional ultrasound services within a modern, welcoming, and clinically led environment.
The successful Sonographer will be responsible for undertaking a range of obstetric ultrasound examinations while ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice, patient care, and customer experience. Working closely with expectant parents, the Sonographer will provide accurate assessments, high-quality imaging, and clear communication throughout the patient journey.
As this is a specialist role within a private baby scanning setting, previous baby scanning experience is an essential requirement and applicants must be able to demonstrate competency in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive range of obstetric and baby scanning examinations, including gender, reassurance, growth, wellbeing, 3D and 4D scans.
- Produce accurate and high-quality ultrasound images and associated reports.
- Deliver outstanding patient care, ensuring every client receives a professional, informative, and reassuring experience.
- Maintain excellent standards of clinical governance, patient safety, and confidentiality at all times.
- Recognise and appropriately escalate any abnormalities or concerns in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Accurately document examination findings and maintain detailed patient records.
- Ensure all ultrasound equipment is utilised and maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidance and company policies.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement and uphold the clinic's reputation for excellence.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a seamless and exceptional patient experience.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Sonographer with recognised ultrasound qualifications.
- Current HCPC, NMC, or equivalent professional registration where applicable.
- Demonstrable experience working as a Sonographer within obstetric ultrasound.
- Essential: Previous baby scanning experience.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy clinical workload effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-centred approach.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working within a private baby scanning clinic.
- Experience conducting 3D, 4D, and HD Live scans.
- Additional qualifications or certifications within obstetric or fetal ultrasound.
- A strong passion for providing an exceptional client experience.
