Registered General Nurse (RGN)
Dedicated and compassionate Registered General Nurse with experience providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care in a range of clinical settings. Responsible for assessing patients needs, planning and delivering appropriate care, administering medications safely, monitoring patients conditions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to patients with a range of medical and clinical needs.
Conducting patient assessments and developing, implementing and reviewing individualised care plans.
Administering medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed instructions and professional standards.
Monitoring and recording patients vital signs, symptoms and changes in condition, escalating concerns appropriately.
Working collaboratively with doctors, healthcare assistants, allied health professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Supporting patients and their families by providing clear information, reassurance and emotional support.
Maintaining accurate, confidential and up-to-date patient records.
Following infection prevention and control procedures, safeguarding requirements, health and safety policies and relevant clinical guidelines.
Responding appropriately to emergencies and changes in patients conditions.
Supporting junior staff, students and colleagues where appropriate.
Promoting dignity, independence, equality and patient choice at all times.
Participating in audits, clinical governance and continuous professional development to maintain high standards of care.
