Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 and the potential for profit share

Walfinch Guildford and Woking is looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our growing home care service across the Guildford and Woking area.
Based in Woking, our service provides personalised home care designed to help people remain independent, connected and able to live life on their own terms. Our services support adults across a range of needs, including older people, younger adults, people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious care professional who wants to take ownership of a service, build a strong team and play a key role in developing an outstanding home care operation.
About the Opportunity
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, effective and high-quality delivery of our regulated home care service.
You will provide strong leadership to the care and office teams; ensure we meet our regulatory responsibilities and work closely with the Franchisee to develop the service and achieve its operational and business objectives.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being visible, approachable and involved.

Key Responsibilities
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service.
- Ensure safe, effective and person-centred care is consistently delivered.
- Ensure the service operates in accordance with relevant legislation, CQC requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Promote the dignity, privacy, independence, choice and rights of every client.
- Oversee comprehensive client assessments and risk assessments.
- Ensure individualised care and support plans are developed and regularly reviewed.
- Monitor quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage complaints, incidents and investigations effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting systems.
- Lead on safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and infection prevention and control.
- Recruit, induct, train, supervise and develop staff.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skills are maintained.
- Manage performance, absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Conduct staff supervision and appraisals.
- Ensure emergency and on-call issues are dealt with effectively.
- Build strong relationships with clients, families and external professionals.
- Represent Walfinch professionally at external meetings and within the local community.
- Work with the Franchisee to develop the business and achieve agreed performance targets.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation, regulation and best practice.

Essential Experience
You should have:
- Previous experience managing a social care or home care service.
- Strong understanding of domiciliary / home care.
- Knowledge of relevant social care legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with care assessments and risk management.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge.
- Experience recruiting, training, supervising and developing staff.
- Experience managing staff performance.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong IT and record-keeping skills.
- A relevant social care and/or management qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
