Care Assistant Support Worker

Requirements:

Female carers who have a car and drives, urgently needed in Wokingham, Earley, Reading, Tilehurst, Theale and Newbury area. They must have a right to work in the UK and must have a valid UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Personal Care:
    • Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
    • Support clients with mobility, using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safety.
  2. Domestic Support:
    • Perform light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
    • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
    • Manage shopping needs, either independently or accompanying clients, to ensure adequate supplies.
  3. Companionship and Social Support:
    • Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
    • Encourage and support clients to participate in social and recreational activities, both within the home and in the community.
    • Accompany clients to appointments, social events, or on outings, as required.
  4. Health Monitoring:
    • Observe and report any changes in clients' health, behaviour, or needs to the appropriate personnel.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, incidents, and observations.
    • Assist in the development and review of personalised care plans, ensuring they reflect current needs and preferences.
  5. Compliance and Professionalism:
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to health and safety, confidentiality, and safeguarding.
    • Participate in mandatory training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities.
    • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times, representing the company positively.
