About the role:
As an ARCH Support Worker, you will provide person-centred, strengths-based support to people with complex needs, helping them build confidence, improve their wellbeing and develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible within their communities.
You will work alongside clients to identify their strengths, needs and personal goals, providing practical and emotional support with areas including housing, homelessness, tenancy sustainment, benefits, finances, daily living, routine building, life skills and accessing community services. You will also support people to develop positive social networks, engage with health and community services and access appropriate resources and opportunities.
Working closely with Recovery Coordinators, colleagues, families, carers, health professionals and partner organisations, you will help deliver effective support, advocate for clients and contribute to positive outcomes. As a Support Worker, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with people who may have complex needs. You will be compassionate, resilient and committed to empowering people to make informed choices, take ownership of their recovery and achieve greater independence.
You will be organised and able to manage your own workload, maintain accurate records and work confidently both independently and as part of a wider team. Experience of working with people with complex needs or providing support services would be advantageous, as would knowledge of mental health services and experience of lone working within a community setting. A willingness to travel and access to a vehicle for business use are essential.
