Locum Social Worker to join a well-established
Children and Families First Team within a Good-rated Local Authority.
This long-term locum opportunity sits within a supportive service holding
Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Looked After Children (LAC) cases. The team benefits from manageable caseloads, regular monthly supervision and a positive working environment where practitioners are supported to deliver high-quality outcomes for children and families.
About the Role
As a Social Worker within the Children and Families First Team, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of CIN, CP and Looked After Children cases, undertaking assessments, planning interventions and ensuring children receive effective support and protection.

Essential Requirements
- Social Work England Registration
- Right to Work in the UK
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience within a statutory English Local Authority
- Experience managing CIN, Child Protection and Looked After Children cases
- CV must clearly evidence how the DfE experience requirements are met
- Essential car user with access to own vehicle
- Able to commit to 3 days per week in the office within the BCP area
- Full-time availability
- Ideally locally based
