Advanced Practitioner Child in Need Team Harrow 41.10 per Hour Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Child in Need Team in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated social work professional looking to take on a leadership role within a supportive and dynamic service. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and developing frontline practitioners while maintaining a small caseload of complex children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Support, mentor and provide professional guidance to Social Workers within the Child in Need Team.
Manage a small caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Promote high standards of practice and support continuous improvement across the team.
Undertake complex assessments, risk analysis and care planning.
Provide oversight and support in managing safeguarding concerns and child protection matters.
Chair and contribute to professional meetings, including multi-agency forums where required.
Ensure case recording and report writing are completed to a high standard and within statutory timescales.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England Registration.
Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
Strong experience managing Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
Previous experience supporting, coaching or mentoring practitioners.
Excellent assessment, analytical and communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance and safeguarding procedures.
