Salary: £42,839 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (up to 36 hours per week)

Location: Nutgrove Villa, Huyton, Merseyside (Hybrid: 3 days office-based, 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective, child-centred social care to children looked after across the borough.

  • Form meaningful, trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families.

  • Manage complex cases using evidence-based practice and robust risk assessments.

  • Collaborate closely with multi-agency partners to ensure high-quality care planning and stability for care-experienced youth.

  • Participate actively in team learning, supervision, and ongoing service improvement initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Social Worker: Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) with active Social Work England registration.

  • Experienced Practitioner: Proven post-qualification experience working with children looked after or within statutory children's social care.

  • Great Communicator: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Outcome-Driven: A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and helping shape the future of our service.
