Lead Medical Receptionist

The role of the Lead Medical Receptionist will be too:

Lead the afternoon care navigation team
Provide day to day leadership to the team
Support the practice with a wide range of administration and care navigation duties
Allocate and prioritise workloads,
Provide guidance and support to colleagues,
Support the day-to-day organisation of the reception and administrative team,
Identify and understand patient needs and requirements, through appropriate questioning
Carry out the same core reception and administrative duties alongside colleagues,
Maintain high standards of patient confidentiality.
Carry out all necessary general office duties
Take responsibility for coordinating and supporting the smooth running of the service.

The suitable Lead Medical Receptionist will:

Have previous work history in a similar fast paced environment
Have experience working in a similar Team Leader role
Demonstrate a work history within healthcare
Be supportive and lead by example
Demonstrate an outgoing, friendly personality with a desire to meet new people
Have the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
Be flexible to support the wider practice
Have the ability to stay calm under pressure and to be able to multi-task in a similar environment
Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to the changing working practices of a busy medical environment
Have good administrative, IT and keyboard skills
