NEW
Operations Manager

Worcester

Permanent £70000.00 - £80000.00 Annual

Operations Manager Nursing Homes Worcestershire Up to 80,000

Most operations roles hand you a patch and a rulebook, then quietly remove any freedom to think for yourself. You inherit someone else's system, work inside someone else's straight-jacket, and spend your days feeding a head office that has already made the decisions. If that's what you're after, this isn't it.

This is the number two seat in a well-established, family-owned nursing home group. The owner has spent twenty years building something he's proud of, and he's ready to hand full responsibility for care provision across the group to one person he can trust to run it. That person is genuinely in charge of the quality, the standards, and the direction of care. The autonomy here is real, not a line in a job spec.

The group runs a portfolio of nursing homes mainly in the West Midlands, with a reputation built on genuinely warm, family-feel care rather than corporate box-ticking. The strategy isn't relentless acquisition; it's keeping the quality of care high and leading a group that already does things well.

For the right person, there's room to grow into more over time. No promises, but the ceiling is high and the door isn't closed.

The non-negotiables

  • Operations experience across multiple nursing homes, or strong nursing home management experience and the appetite to step up into a group-level role
  • A real understanding of how nursing homes run at this scale. You don't need to be a nurse, but you do need to talk the talk and know what good looks like
  • The maturity to hit the ground running. This is an autonomous role and there's no appetite to hand-hold
  • Warm and friendly by default. Curious by nature. Someone who is always turning over how things could be done better, even a little differently, and then actually makes it happen
  • Living in the region, or comfortably close, and happy to be out among the homes. This role covers a real geographic patch, so location and a willingness to travel both matter

If you've spent years inside a larger group wishing you had the freedom to lead your own way, this is that freedom.

Apply with your CV, even if it isn't fully up to date, or call Tim Roby directly for a confidential conversation about the role.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
