Qualified Social Worker, First Response Team, Leicestershire County Council Pay rate up to £38 per hour Contract role Vitalis are recruiting for experienced Social Worker to work in a First Response Team in Leicestershire Council.Our First Response Children's Duty comprises of a screening and assessment team. The screening team is responsible for incoming information regarding children and families, considering support needs, safeguarding and assessing risk. The assessment team is responsible for Section 17, assessment of need across the county, as well as safeguarding Section 47 enquiries. You will be completing assessments on a four week duty cycle and progressing work to the relevant team for on-going intervention if further services are required.You will need to be adaptable, to work well under pressure both individually and as part of a team and work to tight timescales. We are also actively involved with pilots as part of the Families First Partnership Programme. We are actively involved in the three relevant strands, which are now in a planning phase. This will see Screening become part of an integrated front door, a Multi-Agency Child Protection Team capture the strategy discussions that take place and Section 47 oversight currently provided by the Assessment Team, and the Assessment Teams moving to place-based teams. Therefore, one post will be to be part of the Hinckley Pilot. This will mean that you will pick assessments up if threshold is met at the point of referral and see the case through to further interventions as per s17 and 47 of the Children Act, including the Public Law Outline.
