Regional Service Support Lead

Sheffield

Permanent £35000.00 - £40000.00 Annual

Regional Service Support Lead - Domiciliary Care

Field-Based Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm £35,000 per annum

Chase Medical is recruiting on behalf of a growing domiciliary care provider for an experienced Regional Service Support Lead to provide hands-on operational support across a number of care services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Service Manager or Care Manager who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and supporting services to deliver high standards of care, but is looking for a varied regional role rather than being responsible for one individual branch.

About the Role

As Regional Service Support Lead, you'll work alongside different branches to provide additional operational support where it's needed most.

You could be supporting a service through a management vacancy, helping a growing branch implement new care packages, supporting a service through operational pressures or helping improve quality and compliance.

You'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact across multiple services while working closely with Registered Managers, Area Managers and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on operational support to services experiencing management vacancies, staffing challenges or operational pressures

Support branches with service growth, mobilisation and the implementation of new care packages

Complete client assessments, reviews, reassessments and welfare visits

Support the development and review of person-centred care plans and risk assessments

Assist with complaints, safeguarding concerns, incidents and service investigations

Support branches with audits, inspections and quality improvement plans

Assist with recruitment, interviews, onboarding and mentoring of managers and coordinators

Conduct supervisions, spot checks, observations and competency assessments where required

Support managers in embedding company processes, policies and operational standards

Share best practice across services and contribute to continuous improvement

Build strong relationships with clients, families, social workers, healthcare professionals and local authorities

About You

We're looking for someone with strong experience within domiciliary care, community care or health and social care management.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Service Manager, Care Manager or similar

Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards

Experience managing or supporting regulated care services

Experience with assessments, care planning, risk assessments and service reviews

Strong leadership and communication skills

A proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach

The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

A flexible approach and willingness to travel between services

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or experience working towards this, would be advantageous.

Experience with PASS, CarePlanner or other care management systems would also be beneficial.

Why Consider This Role?

This role offers the opportunity to take your existing management experience and use it across a wider group of services.

Rather than dealing with the same challenges within one branch every day, you'll be supporting different teams, helping services through periods of change and contributing directly to service improvement and growth.

It's particularly well suited to an experienced care manager who enjoys problem-solving, developing teams and improving services, and wants to take on a broader operational role.

Interested?

  • If you're an experienced care professional looking for a varied, field-based role where you can make a difference across multiple services, we'd love to hear from you.

Service Manager Progression Opportunity

Milton Keynes £40,170 - £43, Hours Monday-Friday

Ready to take the next step from Deputy Manager to Service Manager?

Brainkind is the UK's leading charity specialising in neurological care and brain injury rehabilitation. We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager or Acting Manager who is ready to progress into their first Service Manager role at Brownswood, our specialist residential service in Milton Keynes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong deputy-level leadership experience who is ready for greater responsibility, but wants to make that progression within a supportive environment. You will receive guidance and support from the wider management team and work alongside an experienced Assistant Manager/Deputy who knows the service and residents well.

About Brownswood

Brownswood is a small 9-bed specialist residential service currently supporting 8 adults living with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions.

Many residents have made Brownswood their home for a number of years and are supported to live active, fulfilling lives within their local community. The service benefits from an experienced and established team and is currently rated Good by CQC.

This is not a turnaround service. Brownswood is stable and has strong foundations in place, making it an ideal environment for an experienced Deputy Manager to take their first step into Service Management with the right support around them.

The Role

As Service Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of Brownswood, ensuring the service continues to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care while developing your experience and progressing towards Registered Manager responsibility.

  • Promote independence, rehabilitation and community participation.

  • Drive continuous improvement across the service.

  • Work closely with senior management and the existing Assistant Manager/Deputy.

About You

This role is particularly suited to an experienced Deputy Manager ready to progress rather than someone who has already spent several years operating at Registered Manager level.

We are looking for someone who understands specialist care and can demonstrate consistent leadership experience within services supporting people with complex needs.

Essential

  • Minimum 2-3 years' Deputy or Acting Manager experience within adult social care.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or currently in the final stages of completing it.

  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality standards.

  • Experience leading teams, supervising staff and supporting service operations.

  • Confidence and ambition to progress into Registered Manager responsibility.

  • Full UK driving licence.

Why Join Brainkind?

This is an opportunity to progress into your first Service Manager role without being expected to do it alone. You will have support and guidance from the wider Brainkind team, alongside an experienced Assistant Manager/Deputy within Brownswood.

You'll be joining a stable service where the focus is on maintaining quality, developing the team and continuing to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support.

What We Offer

  • Salary £40,170 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

  • 38 days annual leave, including Bank Holidays.

  • Buy and Sell Annual Leave Scheme.

  • Simplyhealth Healthcare Plan.

  • Company Pension and Group Life Assurance.

  • Employee Assistance Programme.

  • Excellent training, management support and career development.

Apply Today

If you're an experienced Deputy Manager with neurological or brain injury experience and are ready to progress into a Service Manager position, we'd love to hear from you.

Applications will be reviewed as they're received, so early applications are encouraged.
