Family Help Social Worker

We are recruiting Experienced Social Workers to join an innovative Family Help service within a local authority that is taking a fresh approach to supporting children and families.
This opportunity stands out because of its unique
shared caseload model, where two social workers work together to support approximately 25 children. This approach provides genuine peer support, improved continuity for families, enhanced workload management, and reliable cover during periods of leave or absence.
What's on Offer?
- Up to 42 per hour for Experienced Social Workers
- Potential for higher rates to be considered for exceptional candidates
- Up to 150 per week accommodation/travel contribution for workers living more than 30 miles away
- No duty requirement
- Court work included
- Locality-based caseloads to minimise travel
- Managers keen to move quickly on suitable candidates
- Use of Mosaic and Copilot within the service
Working Pattern
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Hybrid Working
The service operates a flexible hybrid model:
- One week: 3 office-based days
- Following week: 2 office-based days
- The team is also exploring a shared-cover arrangement where one social worker is office-based while the other works remotely, helping to maintain continuity of support for families and colleagues.
