This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). As a Residential SEN Support Worker, you will:

• Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to profoundly deaf young people in a specialist residential setting.

The young people you will support are profoundly deaf and communicate using British Sign Language (BSL), supported by AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices and visual communication methods.

While previous BSL experience is desirable, it is not essential. Full training and BSL courses will be provided based on your current experience and qualifications.

The home is equipped with specialist technology designed to support sensory needs, including:

• Specialist fire alarm systems

As an Outreach Worker you will:

The Role at a Glance
Working alongside another team member, your role will focus on supporting Elsie with all aspects of her ADLs, care plan, therapy programmes, medical needs etc. A typical morning will start with completing a handover with the night care team, finishing off her feed, and getting up, dressed, and out the door on time for school.
