Job Overview
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Live-in Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes. As a Live-in Care Assistant, you will live with the client during your placement, offering practical support, companionship, and personal care to help them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Prepare nutritious meals and support with eating and drinking where required.
- Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans and company policies.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with household duties such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and meal preparation.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and outings.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate daily care records.
- Follow individual care plans and ensure all care is delivered with dignity, respect, and compassion.
- Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care is essential
- A caring, patient, and compassionate nature.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Flexibility to work on a live-in rota.
