Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and confident Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our domiciliary care service.

This is not a training or development role. We are seeking someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of the operational management of the service, lead the team with confidence and maintain high standards of care and compliance. While the Registered Manager provides strategic oversight and support, the Deputy Manager will play a key role in the daily management of the service and be confident making operational decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day operational management of the domiciliary care service.
  • Lead, motivate and support the care team, promoting a culture of accountability, professionalism and person-centred care.
  • Oversee the completion and quality of care assessments, care plans, risk assessments, spot checks and staff supervisions, ensuring they are accurate, compliant and reflective of clients' needs.
  • Work closely with the Care Coordinator and Senior Carers to ensure safe, effective and consistent service delivery.
  • Monitor the quality of care across the service, carrying out audits and implementing improvements where required.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, safeguarding requirements and company policies.
  • Support recruitment, induction, staff development and performance management.
  • Manage complaints, incidents, safeguarding concerns and operational issues appropriately.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager when required and contribute to the continuous development and growth of the service.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and experienced leader who is confident managing the day-to-day operations of a domiciliary care service with minimal supervision.

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Care Manager, Branch Manager, Field Care Supervisor or similar senior role within domiciliary care.
  • A proven track record of managing or supporting the day-to-day running of a domiciliary care service.
  • Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, the Care Act and best practice in domiciliary care.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Experience leading and supporting care teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care as a minimum (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards).
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

This role offers an engaging environment where your leadership abilities can flourish while making a meaningful impact on our organisation s success.

Important

This role is best suited to an experienced domiciliary care professional who is confident working independently and does not require extensive training or supervision.
