About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team within City Family Support and Safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPCs) and Review Child Protection Conferences (RCPCs).

  • Prepare and write high-quality conference reports.

  • Assess and manage safeguarding risks effectively.

  • Participate in the duty rota and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

  • Work collaboratively with children, families and multi-agency professionals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory and organisational requirements.

  • Ensure children's wishes, feelings and lived experiences remain central to all assessments and interventions.

Essential Requirements

Please note these are essential requirements for the role:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration.

  • Previous experience working within a Family Safeguarding Team ESSENTIAL.

  • Strong and demonstrable Court experience ESSENTIAL.

  • Experience working with CIN, CP and CIC cases.

  • Experience with PLO and Section 31 Care Proceedings.

  • Proven experience completing court reports, risk assessments and parenting assessments.

  • Experience attending and contributing to Court hearings.

  • Strong safeguarding and risk management experience.
