You will be joining a busy healthcare organisation based in the south-west of Glasgow, known for delivering high-quality services and patient care. Due to increased demand, they are looking to recruit an experienced Medical Secretary to support their clinical and administrative teams on a temporary basis.
Your new role
This is a full-time, office-based position working 5 days per week. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to consultants and clinical teams. Your responsibilities will include managing appointments and referrals, typing clinical correspondence, handling enquiries from patients and healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department. This role is expected to last 6-9 months and offers the potential opportunity to apply for a permanent position.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within a Medical Secretary or healthcare administration position. You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage a busy workload effectively. Experience working with confidential information and using Microsoft Office packages is essential, while knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous.
