The Role
As an Optical Assistant, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience from start to finish. You'll be confident dispensing a wide range of frames and lenses, providing tailored recommendations based on each patient's prescription, lifestyle, and visual needs.
You'll also be responsible for carrying out pre-screening, including using the latest diagnostic equipment, ensuring patients are fully prepared before seeing the Optometrist. Alongside this, you'll assist with frame styling, fittings, adjustments, collections, aftercare, and the day-to-day running of the practice.
Working closely with the wider team, you'll help maintain the high standards of care the practice is known for while building lasting relationships with patients.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working as an Optical Assistant within an optical practice
Is confident dispensing spectacles and advising on lens options
Has experience carrying out pre-screening using optical equipment
Delivers outstanding customer service with a friendly and professional approach
Has excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team
Is passionate about providing the very best patient care
