Qualified Residential Support Worker (Children)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established children's residential care provider with several homes across Birmingham. The provider supports children and young people aged 6-16 with EBD, Autism and SEMH, promoting a safe, nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential through a caring and therapeutic approach.

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Residential Support Worker (Children) on a temporary, part-time basis with an ASAP start. The successful Qualified Residential Support Worker (Children) will support young people with their daily routines, promote independence, manage challenging behaviours positively, and deliver high-quality, person-centred care across a number of residential homes. Shifts include 12-hour day shifts (10:00am to 10:00pm), with sleep shifts and waking nights also available.

The successful Qualified Residential Support Worker (Children) will have:

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience supporting children and young people in a residential care setting
  • Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours
  • Knowledge of supporting children with EBD, Autism and SEMH
  • A caring, hands-on and person-centred approach
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour day shifts, sleep shifts and waking nights
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred
