Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents, respecting their individual needs and preferences
- Support residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
- Administer medication and maintain accurate care records in accordance with enhanced care standards
- Promote a safe and clean environment by following health and safety policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Encourage social interaction and engagement through activities and meaningful conversation
- Report any changes in resident's health or behaviour to the nursing team promptly
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to maintain enhanced care skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant preferred
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check clearance or willingness to obtain one
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to upholding the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes
- Flexible approach to work, including willingness to work shifts as required
