Ready to Take the Next Step in Your Care Career?

Do you have experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs? Are you ready to step into a leadership role where you can mentor others while continuing to make a genuine difference every day?

We're recruiting a Senior Support Worker Team Leader to join a dedicated team supporting young people in an Ofsted registered children's home in Ealing.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that invests in its people, promotes internal progression, and is passionate about helping young people build brighter futures through safe, structured and nurturing care. The provider provides semi-independent accommodation and children's services focused on helping young people develop confidence, stability and the skills needed for independent living. The organisation is committed to staff development, high-quality support and creating positive outcomes for every young person.

The Role

As a Senior Support Worker Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, leading shifts, supporting colleagues and ensuring young people receive the highest standard of care.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading shifts and supporting the daily operation of the home.
  • Acting as a positive role model and providing guidance to Support Workers.
  • Supporting young people with their emotional wellbeing, education and independence.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Completing accurate records, reports and risk assessments.
  • Contributing to care planning and key working responsibilities.
  • Promoting safeguarding and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Liaising professionally with social workers, local authorities, education providers and other professionals.
  • Deputising for the Registered Manager when required.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about changing lives and confident leading by example.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working within a children's residential home or supported accommodation setting.
  • Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to progress.
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and children's legislation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, resilient and solution focused.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards it) is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable.

What You'll Receive

  • Up to £16.50 per hour.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression.
  • Regular supervision and support from an experienced management team.
  • Pension scheme.
  • 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays.
  • A supportive team culture where your ideas and development are valued.

Why Join Us?

This isn't just another care role. It's an opportunity to become part of a team that believes every young person deserves consistency, encouragement and the chance to succeed.

If you're looking for a role where your leadership can have a lasting impact on young people's lives while developing your own career, we'd love to hear from you.
